A Message from Police Chief Frank
R. Webb, Jr.
Since
August 1952 the Forest Heights Police Department has served its community
under a decree of honor, integrity and personal courage. The members of this organization are
professionals with diverse backgrounds in public service, but most
importantly our professionals are members of this community and exhibit
unwavering duty to the safety of our public and the confidence of the
residents and visitors of Prince George’s County.
Our potential is unlimited as
we continue to improve our equipment, training and technologies. We are a resource to this Town and
surrounding communities and this is consistently proven in the quality of
work that we perform. Our traffic
safety program is rapidly advancing as new equipment is unveiled on Indian
Head Highway (MD-210) and patrol units increase enforcement efforts on
Livingston Road. We build on our
Community Oriented Policing efforts by way of zero tolerance enforcement
at school and drug free zones.
Increased foot patrols and high visibility activities deter crime
and improve community confidence and comfort in shopping centers and high
traffic areas. These projects
expand on our mission to protect the public safety and community service
initiative in Forest Heights.
We hope that you will find our
site useful as a tool in our community and that you will visit it
regularly for updates and information.
We welcome your suggestions and comments and we thank you for
visiting our site!
